Surviving in Hard Times

I have a saying that I use periodically when someone tells me something’s impossible. I’ll share it with you; it goes like this:

“The true character of a man is not what he does when everything goes right, it’s what he does when everything goes wrong.”

In today’s world, life is getting harder and I think that’s for just about everyone except maybe a handful. This is the time your true self will either crumble or shine. I know you hear this bologne of, ‘keep your chin up’ and junk like that. I’m not going to give you any cheesy sayings, just the reality. We’re all imperfect and we’ll all make mistakes. It’s going to happen. The best we can do now is when we fall down not to sit there in the dirt throwing a fit like a child. Sometimes all we can do is just keep going, even if we don’t know how we’re going to survive tomorrow. Don’t give up. You may have to find a different road, but that doesn’t mean you’re not traveling nonetheless. The world needs some heroes. So, what’s your character?
